Last week, I wrote about the difference between self-confidence and self-worth—and how we must cultivate BOTH to feel happy, content, and fulfilled in our lives.
So, you now might be wondering . . . What does it look like to be both self-confident and embody a healthy sense of self-worth?
How can I tell if I have both?
Today, I want to answer that for you.
Here are some signs:
- You aren’t proving, hustling, and grinding—and therefore exhausted from all the productivity. Instead, you feel enough no matter how much you’ve accomplished by the end of the day.
- You set boundaries for yourself that support your own higher good, no matter how others feel about the parameters you’ve set.
- You celebrate your efforts—all of them—no matter the outcome.
- You show up fully to your business and serve your clients or customers with love and dedication—and you charge a rate that allows you to profit and thrive.
- You give your job your all, doing your best each day to active your gifts and talents—and you require your employer to pay you a salary that honors your service, feels fair, and aligns with your badassery.
- You are comfortable being your authentic self in your relationships, and you don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. (And you allow others to do the same, rather than demanding they change to meet your requirements.)
- You consistently take bold steps forward and aren’t afraid to take risks, because failure doesn’t scare you. You know that failure is just part of the process of upleveling your life.
- You ask for what you need and desire, and you don’t feel icky or uncomfortable about the asking or receiving.
- You trust your inner guidance system, even when your goals and actions don’t make sense to others—you resist polling and crowd sourcing, and faithfully follow your intuition.
- You honor your dreams and aspirations by reaching higher than most people think is possible—and you tune out all the naysayers, critics, and worriers—not giving them the time of day. You know you are the only one who can truly hear the callings of your heart!
My friend, do you see yourself here?
Do you feel called out, or do you feel called in?
Do you see yourself as a fiercely confident woman who embodies both her self-worth and badassery, or do you recognize there is still work left to do?
If the former is true, then rock on superstar!
But if it’s the latter, you are still a superstar, my sister!
This is a VERY COMMON problem that many women encounter. And most stay stuck in the grind—year after year—restless, but not quite sure what to do to feel more satisfied, alive, and energized.
But you’re actually ahead of the game because you now have an awareness of what might be blocking you from feeling fully empowered, connected and fulfilled.
Awareness is always the first step towards change.
And there are practical exercises you can do to build your self-confidence and cultivate self-worth.
This is at the heart of the work I do, and I intend to share a few helpful exercises with you in the weeks to come.
Stay tuned! The conversation continues next week . . .
