Could you use a little more confidence and positive self-esteem in your life? I can help!
My name is Tracy, and I am a certified life coach. I help my clients gain the self-confidence they need to achieve their dreams. Low self-confidence can really hold you back in life. If you’re feeling self-conscious, fear can sneak in and hijack your mind, and once you are on the negative slide downward, there’s not a whole lot of room for positive self-talk.
The cycle repeats, and soon enough, you might go days or weeks without a positive thought towards yourself. Many times, our low self-esteem comes from a desire to please others. Unfortunately, it is impossible to please everyone, and nor should we! In her book Untamed, author Glennon Doyle talks about living a life with confidence and bravery and showing up for yourself in your life:
“If you keep living with confidence, the rest of your life will unfold exactly as it is meant to. It won’t always be comfortable. Some will recognize your brave; others won’t. Some will understand and like you; others won’t. But the way others respond to your confidence is not your business. Your business is to stay loyal to you. That way, you will always know that those who do like and love you are really your people. You’ll never be forced to hide or act in order to keep people if you don’t hide or act to get them.” To be brave is to forsake all others to be true to yourself. That is the vow of a confident girl.”
― Glennon Doyle, Untamed
We all know someone who projects confidence, and things generally go very well for them. They are taken more seriously in business, are asked to help on special projects, have a more social life, look better, and generally feel like they are levels above us.
Confidence is deeply rooted in mindset, something I have a great interest in! Change your mind, and you can change your life. If you find you are not presenting yourself to the best of what you know you have inside, let’s talk about getting you to stand tall, find your brave, and take on your dreams confidently!
What is self-confidence coaching with Tracy?
I help my clients by getting back in touch with what their core passions and beliefs are and building off those discoveries. We often lose touch with what we want in this life because we’ve listened to what our family or society has told us we *should* want.
There are many ways I can help you reclaim your interests, and these will vary based on your personality and personal preferences. There are authors like Amy Cuddy who say that specific body postures lead to higher confidence levels.
If that is something you are into exploring, we can look at her book Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges and see if you like the art of power posing. If standing in the “Wonder Woman” pose isn’t for you, I have many resources to help find a process that you will feel comfortable with as we work to improve your confidence.
Once we find what works best for you, we can tailor a plan to get you feeling confident while conquering your goals. I help you find your inner voice, quiet the inner critic, and move forward to find what lights you up.
When your light shines, it helps illuminate everyone around you as well!
What happens after the first confidence coaching session?
Our first session is a two-hour deep dive where we get clear on where you are, start to uncover what may be holding you back, set some goals, and begin to map out our work together. We talk about your interests, your habits, discover limiting beliefs and stories that might not be serving you anymore. These sessions bring up a lot to think about, and you might have some big feelings come from a deep dive like we’ll do in our first session.
For instance, I’ve had clients realize they are more introverted than extroverted, know they are entrepreneurs and like starting projects rather than finishing them, realize they are wearing a “social mask” at work, hiding who they really are (which then drains them), among many other BIG insights.
These are all important to your journey, so after our first confidence coaching session, I encourage you to take some time to think about it all! Sit down with yourself and lean into where your heart asks you to go. Journal about it, if that’s your thing and then let’s review.
Feel the complex feelings that come from your limiting beliefs and stories and think about where they might originate. I will be giving you plenty of confidence coaching tools and recommendations to work on and think about.
Your first coaching session is a gold mine of insight, I look forward to showing you back to yourself!
How do you coach someone to build confidence?
My coaching sessions are tailor-made to each client. We all have different beliefs, experiences, and interests that have led us to this place in time. Once we find your passions, we can find the triggers to negative behaviors and self-limiting behaviors and put some checks in place.
Low confidence and low self-esteem are all low power and do not serve you or your big, life changing goals. I can help you take back the keys to your life so you can drive without fear. One of my favorite self-help authors, Jen Sincero, sums up this topic perfectly:
“Because if you base your self-worth on what everyone else thinks of you, you hand all your power over to other people and become dependent on a source outside of yourself for validation. Then you wind up chasing after something you have no control over, and should that something suddenly place its focus somewhere else, or change its mind and decide you’re no longer very interesting, you end up with a full-blown identity crisis.”
– Jen Sincero, You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
I will help you gain self-confidence by looking inward at your strengths and values and making sure you’re looking at them the right way. For instance, some people feel their empathy is a weakness, which is simply not true.
I’ll help you identify your strengths and feel good about what you bring to the table. We’ll also work on positive affirmations and mindset to keep you feeling good. These all take some practice. For example, you might find yourself thinking negatively or thinking of limiting questions when it’s time to be confident at work.
We’ll look at what triggers these thoughts and set you up to counter them with a positive thought each and every time until it becomes second nature to think positive first instead of negative.
Now that we discussed confidence, your next step is to see if working with a confidence life coach is right for you! I offer a free, no-obligation consultation where you can ask questions and get a feel for my coaching style and see if you are ready to start finding your inner confidence!
I kick off our coaching sessions with a two-hour deep-dive session to get clear on where you are, begin to uncover what may be holding you back, set some goals, and begin to map out our work together.
