Life Coaching Tip: Sometimes, daily routines make life feel a little. . .samey and we can slip into autopilot before we even notice. This post explores how intentional living can help you reconnect with what matters, make meaningful changes, and create a life full of fun, purpose, and alignment.

It can be easy to get stuck in a rut.
We can get so busy in our day-to-day routines that we slip into autopilot without even realizing it.
I was just talking about this with a client who works remotely, and we both agreed that working from home can make it even trickier. One day blends into the next, and the lines between work and home can blur until it all feels the same.
I joked that when I have plans to go out and do something fun, I have to remind myself—oh right, I should make sure the back of my hair looks good, too! And shoes—I’m going to need to wear them, and they should match my outfit. (Neither of which are required for Zoom calls!)
Strangely, even this can feel like a lot. It’s a sure sign that it’s time to refocus and make some changes.
The truth is, the key to getting out of a rut and into a life that feels vibrant and wholehearted is intention.
This applies to all of us, no matter our work situation or lifestyle.
As my clients are onboarding for the next round of the Shine On program, whether it’s their first round or their seventh, we take a deep dive into all the areas of life and explore how satisfied they feel in each of them:
- Career & Finances
- Health
- Friends & Family
- Romance
- Fun & Leisure
- Home Environment
- Personal Development
Then I ask:
✨ What would make this area feel ideal?
✨ What changes need to happen?
✨ What would feel meaningful and better aligned with your values?
From there, we create an action plan. This is not a wish list of “that would be nice someday.” But a decisive plan to live more intentionally.
Each month, we revisit the plan and assess: What’s working? What’s not? What needs to be adjusted?
If your life has started to feel a little ho-hum, I invite you to ask yourself these same questions.
This isn’t about what you should be doing according to the expectations of others. It’s about what you want.
What’s important to you?
What would make your life feel richer, more fulfilling?
What does intentional living mean to you?
Truly sister, this is everything!
No one wants to get to the end of their one and only life and say: “Welp, I checked all the boxes and did what was expected of me.”
Eeeew.
You deserve a life that feels fun, exciting, and meaningful!
And it starts with intention.
