Life Coaching Tip: Your beliefs are not facts, even when your brain insists they are. The most transformative shift my clients experience is the journey from believing their wildest aspirations are impossible, to improbable, to possible, to inevitable. And the beautiful thing is that this shift does not have to be heavy or hard. Like a butterfly landing on your shoulder, belief change can feel light, energizing, and full of possibility. If you are ready to explore what becomes available to you when you change what you believe, this one is for you!

I often say that I have the best job in the world. I get to support courageous, trailblazing women who are ready to let go of society’s expectations and explore what truly lights up their soul. This is not an understatement. My clients are total baddies, bold, inspiring, and deeply invested in their own growth.
And one of the best parts is watching them shift from believing their wildest aspirations are impossible, to improbable, to possible, to inevitable. Because belief is the driving force that generates the emotions and actions to create miracles. And watching that shift happen in real time is one of the greatest privileges of my life.
As I shared last week, changing a belief is a process that unfolds over time. The first step is recognizing that a limiting belief is just a thought, not a fact, despite what our brain would like us to think. This is also where working with a coach becomes so valuable, because it is nearly impossible to see our own blind spots clearly.
Once we decide to change a belief, we begin directing our brain toward questions that better serve us, over and over again, until something starts to shift.
And here is what I want you to know: this process can be light and even fun. There is no need for it to be heavy.
When I am trying on a new belief, I think of it like a butterfly landing on my shoulder. It is an exciting charge of energy, a glimmer of possibility, and then the butterfly flits off into the blue sky. But the more I direct my brain toward questions that serve me, the longer the butterfly stays. And the longer it stays, the more the new belief begins to settle in.
It drops from my head to my core and radiates throughout my being. This is the process we all use to embody the future version of ourselves. We just don’t always recognize that it is happening.
We try on our new belief by feeling those energy charges as we connect to possibility, all the while visualizing our goal as already accomplished. And if that feels abstract, think about what happens when you’re planning a vacation. Long before your plane departs, you’re already imagining the weather, sights, people, experiences, and feeling the excitement of it all. That’s your brain practicing a future reality. Intentional belief creation works the same way.
Are you ready to give it a try?
What belief feels impossible to you right now, but you know that if you believed it, it would change everything?
Start there, my friend.
