The Room Was Full of Gold

July 12, 2026 //  by Tracy Baranauskas//  Leave a Comment

Life Coaching Tip: Some of the most powerful insights come from a group of badass women stretching and growing together. This week’s Shine On meeting proved it once again, as we unpacked reflections from our 30-Day FY Challenge and every single member hit her daily goal at the halfway mark. The insight that stood out most was that a goal can feel like a draining obligation or an energizing opportunity. It all depends on our mindset around it. That conversation reminded me how much wisdom lives inside this community. So from time to time, I’m going to share those breakthroughs with you. First up next week: Connie’s incredible journey from decision paralysis to full-time RV living.

Want to know a secret?

I learn just as much from my clients as they do from me. Sometimes their insights absolutely blow me away.

That was the case in last week’s Shine On group meeting as we shared reflections from the 30-Day FY Challenge. I’ll let you figure out what FY stands for. (wink!)

We’re at the halfway point, and every single baddie in this group has hit her daily challenge goal so far. Our conversation focused on the ripple effect of that consistency.

Although each challenge goal was completely personalized to each Shine Sister’s intention, there were some surprising themes that showed up again and again.

Several group members realized they were capable of expanding their capacity far beyond what they’d previously believed. Others noticed that the exact same goal could feel completely different depending on the mindset behind it. A goal can become an “obligation” that drains us, or it can become an “opportunity” that energizes us.

The goal itself does not change. The way we choose to see it does. Mindset is everything, my friend!

There were so many other insights shared, along with this sisterhood offering encouragement and ideas to one another. It was one of those conversations where I found myself smiling as I listened because I knew something special was happening in that room. (I was also taking lots of notes to capture every gem, because it was inspiring me to up my own game, too.)

After the meeting, I kept thinking about how much wisdom exists inside the Shine On community.

Every week, the trailblazers in this group share breakthroughs, navigate challenges, and discover things about themselves that are worth celebrating. So many meaningful moments happen inside our meetings that never make it beyond the group.

And I realized I wanted to change that.

From time to time, I’m going to share some of those stories here. I’ll highlight members of Shine On as well as my brilliant private coaching clients and invite them to share some of the lessons, insights, and moments of growth they’ve experienced along the way.

Because sometimes the most powerful inspiration comes from seeing what someone else discovers they’re capable of.

Next week, I’ll introduce you to Connie.

Connie began coaching in 2020, and she has been part of Shine On since 2021. Watching her journey has been incredible.

When we first started working together, making even small decisions felt difficult, like it took her about 8 months of research to decide which rug she wanted to purchase.

And she had very little clarity about what she wanted her life to look like. (This led to a meltdown during a vision board workshop where she left with a blank board.  This still cracks her up when she tells this story.)

Today, she’s traveling the country in an RV after selling her condo, letting go of many of her belongings, and choosing a completely new adventure.

She’s faced several challenges during her first few months on the road, including a damaged RV, some serious moments of doubt, and one treacherous drive.

But she kept going.

Her story is such a beautiful reminder that confidence is not something we must (or can) create before we begin. It is something we build by continuing to show up. Confidence comes from mastery.

I can’t wait to share Connie’s story with you.

In the meantime, if you are wondering what it would feel like to be surrounded by a tribe of like-minded women—who are eager to grow, stretch, and cheer one another on—I invite you to take a look inside the Shine On community.

Registration opens each October, but you can learn more about what happens in that room and find out how to join the waiting list here: SHINE ON
