Letting Go To Move Forward

December 7, 2020 //  by Tracy Baranauskas//  Leave a Comment

Life Coaching Tip: Sometimes we must let go of what IS to make room for what’s to come. Yet, letting go can be hard, even when doing so makes sense and it’s necessary to grow and move forward. What are you holding onto that no longer serves you? Let go, my friend.  I promise, your dreams are worth it!

__________

I love my office.

When I am there, I feel warm and light and inspired. And my clients tell me the same thing. This makes me happy, because they are the number one reasons I created this space!

The walls in my office are painted a brilliant yellow, and inspiring wall art in bright accent colors add an extra flair of cheer.

And a candle is always burning, filling the room with a cozy, uplifting fragrance.

The sound machine in the waiting room greets visitors as they come in the door with the chirps of songbirds. My intention has always been for this space to be welcoming and gracious.

However, since the start of the pandemic, I haven’t been able to see my clients in this special, bright environment that I created for them. This is just a condition of the times, I know, and I certainly am not going to complain about it. I understand that some businesses have had to transition in much bigger ways.

Yet still, when I stopped at my office yesterday to clear out a few things, I felt sad.  My lease will expire in May, and I know it just makes sense to let it go and move forward like the sign on my window says.

It’s interesting because I have wanted to transition my coaching practice online for a long while now, and it’s working out well!  It has given me the opportunity to serve clients from outside my immediate area and really expand my reach.

And of course, I still have a warm connection with my clients, and they are continuing taking bold, courageous steps forward!

It’s funny, but for some reason I had a limiting belief that my clients wouldn’t go for online coaching, even though I have always been coached virtually myself by master coaches who live across the country. And I was a member of an online coaching group all last year.

Thankfully, my clients have adjusted beautifully, and it’s all working!

In addition, I have been able to start an online women’s coaching group, Shine On, that is amazing, and two of my clients who live in other states are able to attend since it’s virtual.

It just makes sense to fully transition my business this way.

Yet, sometimes letting go is hard, even when doing so makes sense and it’s necessary to grow and move forward.

Have you ever felt like this?

What are you holding onto that no longer serves you?

What limiting belief is getting in your way?

We are all forced to live a little bit differently these days.  We must continue to adapt and adjust and pivot.

And even though we are living through unprecedented times, you must continue to pursue your dreams!  There is always a way. Different can work, and sometimes work better.

Are you ready to let it go and move forward?

Your dreams are important.

I promise, it will be worth it!
